Damien Rice

Amen"

The Blowers Daughter

And so it is
Just like you said it would be
Life goes easy on me
Most of the time
And so it is
The shorter story
No love, no glory
No hero in her sky

I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes...

And so it is
Just like you said it should be
We'll both forget the breeze
Most of the time
And so it is
The colder water
The blower's daughter
The pupil in denial

I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes...

Did I say that I loathe you?
Did I say that I want to
Leave it all behind?

I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind...
My mind...my mind...
'Til I find somebody new

Damien Rice!

Do you hear the people sing?
Singing the songs of angry men?
It is the music of a people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about the start
When tomorrow comes!

Do You Hear the People Sing"。

Do You Hear the People Sing"的那一场。

J: And I'm Jody. Welcome to American cafe, where you can meet everyday Americans at work and at play. So, come on in and grab a good seat by the window and join us for American Cafe.

J: That's right. One's a musician and one's a dancer. And they have something in common - they both love bluegrass music!

(Enter \"Orange Blossom Special\")

J: Yang Chen, did you hear how fast they are playing? It is simply incredible!

J: Yang Chen, let's first introduce Bob Carlin, a musician we met at a cultural festival and let him describe this very American type of music; bluegrass.

1 Bob Carlin: Bluegrass is a form of music in its strictest definition. It's a band of fiddle, or violin, mandolin, five-string banjo, which is an American invention from an African instrument, and, uh, the guitar and string base. And that's the classic bluegrass band.

J: That's a great idea. First he mentions the fiddle, or violin.

J: Very clever. Then there's the mandolin.

J: Next is the five-string banjo. It is the most important instrument in bluegrass music. What you hear in the background, in fact, is an example of banjo music.

(Enter banjo music)

J: Then there's the guitar.

J: Finally, Yang Chen, there's the string bass.

2 Bob Carlin: What separates this from other music groups is that they play in a style that was pioneered by Bill Monroe back in the 1940s. And, um, it's a music that takes its cue or its roots from earlier forms of American string band music, country music and incorporates, uh, some ideas out of jazz, like soloing.

J: That's a perfect definition of soloing.

J: You're right. I grew up in West Virginia listening to bluegrass music so it really is in my blood. When bluegrass music is playing, it's very hard to keep my feet still.

3 Lynn Masterson: Well, it always has a strong beat. For a dancer, a strong beat is very important. Um, it's cheery. It's happy music. It's very, uh, familiar and comfortable music. It's sort of part of who we are.

J: That's true.

J: I knew you were going to bring up Elvis Presley.

4 Bob Carlin: Of course, Elvis is influenced by bluegrass. You know, Elvis did Bill Monroe's \"Blue Moon of Kentucky,\" and Bill Monroe just did it one speed through.

(Enter Bill Monroe singing \"Blue Moon of Kentucky\")

实录5 Bob Carlin: Elvis, he did it as a waltz like Monroe and then he sped it up.

(Enter Elvis Presley singing \"Blue Moon of Kentucky\")

J: Now that we heard both versions, Yang Chen, which one do you like better?

J: I knew you were going to say that.

J: Okay, okay we know how much you like rock-n-roll and Elvis Presley. But you know, I think Bill Monroe's version better. But, I guess we're going to have to talk about that over coffee because that's all the time we have for today on American Cafe.

(Binaural Recording)

(Impedance)

(Sensitivity)

(Frequency Response)

TPC(电解铜):纯度为99.5%
OFC(无氧铜):纯度为99.995%
LC-OFC(线形结晶无氧铜或结晶无氧铜):纯度在99.995%以上

About Clay Walker

Born: August 19, 1969, Beaumont, TX

"Before, I was walking along a fence," says Clay Walker. "Now I feel like I've jumped into the tall grass and I'm the hunter. I've always loved what I do, but now I'm back in love with the music. It's passionate again." Call it the seventh-album itch as Say No More, produced by Byron Gallimore (Faith Hill, Tim McGraw), Blake Mevis, Brent Mason and Walker, follows four platinum and two gold albums, and 11 #1 singles, from one of contemporary country's most successful artists.

"I haven't ever put this much time or as much heart and soul into an album, not even the first one," continues Texan Walker. "I let it all hang out, gave everything I have to this. There have always been one or two great songs on previous albums but I always seemed to stop short of going all the way for every song. This album was difficult to make because I didn't hide the emotions I went through on every song. It's why I love singing, because I'm actually living the songs while I'm singing them."I'm actually living the songs while I'm singing them."

That, he says, is what sets Say No More apart. "This album is more about real situations, it's more where people live, less dreamy, nothing slick. There's emotion in every single cut, and that's the most important thing about a record--the vocal has to speak to people."

From the first single, "Say No More," with its edgy chord progression, to Walker's stunning Spanish-language cover of "La Bamba," from the Texas swing of "Texas Swing" to the can't-get-it-out-of-your-head melody of "If You Ever Feel Like Lovin' Me Again," from the honky tonk of "Rough Around The Edges" to the pure country of "She's Easy To Hold," Say No More puts Walker's voice and emotion front and center--and he makes it seem simple.

"Being simple is complicated," explains the straightforward singer-songwriter. "It's when we run on emotion, when we know enough to be simple, is where we find happiness, where we touch on what's most important.

That's why I don't try to figure out success. That's the worst thing that can happen to an artist because then you start second guessing your emotion and end up doing more of what you think got you there rather than trusting your heart."

His rendition of Ritchie Valens' "La Bamba" is but one example on Say No More of Walker's willingness to trust himself and step ahead of the pack. With his large fan base in the Southwest, Walker insisted on recording the 1958 hit in its original Spanish, his first recording in the language.

Even his personal list of the three greatest singing voices stretches the envelope for a country star: yes, Merle Haggard first, but Celine Dion second and Bing Crosby third. "I've heard people say Texans are pretty independent by nature and there aren't a lot of apologies for the way we are. We're friendly and comfortable being who we are--and I guess I fit in that mold." Walker grew up in Beaumont, Texas in a musical family, and began playing guitar at age 9. By the time he was a teen, he was already playing honky tonks. At age 16, he got his first taste of radio airplay when he took a tape of a song he had written to local radio station KAYD. "I had just gotten my driver's license, and I drove to the station at 2 a.m. and handed the DJ my tape. Unfortunately, it wasn't formatted to fit their equipment.

I was heart-broken, but what I didn't realize is that they were just trying to blow me off!" he laughs. But Walker didn't give up, coming back a week later with the tape properly formatted. "They took it, but they told me they might never play it, and I was crushed. But as I was driving away, they played it. I couldn't believe it! I had to pull my truck over."

After building a following in bars in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and New Mexico, he signed to Giant in 1993, and released his debut album that year. The platinum Clay Walker spawned the #1s "What's It To You," "Live Until I Die" and "Dreaming With My Eyes Open." The title track from his platinum 1994 album If I Could Make A Living went #1, as did "This Woman And This Man."

From 1995's platinum Hypnotize The Moon, "Who Needs You Baby" and the title track topped the charts. 1997's platinum Rumor Has It boasted #1s in the title song and "Then What." "You're Beginning To Get To Me" on 1998's gold Greatest Hits was #1 too. His sixth album, the gold Live, Laugh, Love, debuted in the Top 5 in 1999 and "The Chain Of Love" became his most recent #1.

Not only has Walker sold more than eight million albums but for five straight years Billboard included one of his songs on its year-end Top 10 country list, a record unmatched in the same period by any other artist. For several years as well, he's been acknowledged as one of country's Top 10 box office touring acts.

In 2000, for the second consecutive year, Walker was the grand finale performer at the prestigious Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo at the Astrodome. Performers earlier in the event included Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard on opening night, the Judds' in their reunion performance, Latin heartthrob Enrique Iglesias and Motown's Smokey Robinson. So why was Walker again the closing act? Perhaps it's his romantic but fun-loving charm (he's been known to do the hula on stage between two inflatable palm trees for "Then What"). Perhaps, wrote the Houston Chronicle: "As he strode into the arena on a tall, chestnut horse with his black hat tipped to the crowd, there was some indication...the type of high-decibel female yowls normally reserved for movie stars."

A modest Walker can't explain the frenzy. "I'm a romantic, so I like love songs. I guess there are a lot of people out there that are in love or want to be in love," he says with a sheepish grin. His own greatest loves are his wife Lori and their two daughters, MaClay and Skylor. Walker's relationship with them and others was transformed dramatically in 1996 when he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

Though the disease is in remission, symptoms such as his right leg suddenly becoming very tired, do recur on occasion. "I'm very blessed," he says surprisingly. "More than ever I realize I'm in someone else's hands. It's great to not think you control things. We can't. It's like when we love someone; you can't control that. In my relationship and friendships and with my children, this learning experience has helped in every way. I've gained a lot of wisdom, and that's the only thing I've ever prayed for."

A blessing for music fans is that Walker has been that rare country artist acclaimed in both traditional and contemporary circles.

"If you go into a bar in Texas, you'll see people dancing to George Strait, but you'll see the same cowboys dancing to 'old time rock and roll,'" he says. "When I was playing those bars, I lived from paycheck to paycheck, and I knew that if those people weren't dancing, I wasn't going to get paid. My roots are about as deep as you can go in country, but at the same time I like to let my hair down a little."

Back in those days, he was searching for success and achievement. Both arrived. Now Clay Walker is the hunter once more. "If you sit still too long, something comes by and eats you," he says. "I'm hunting again, with a genuine passion for the music, and I really like that feeling."

Lyrics

Clay Walker

Next Step In Love

Solid gold candle holders
And an old bottle of wine
You let your hair down on your shoulders
And you pressed your lips to mine
The rain beat soft against the window
As the night turned into dawn
As I looked deep into your eyes
I knew where my heart belonged

I′m ready for the next step in love
Girl, you′re all that I can think of
Isn′t my love good enough
I′m ready for the next step in love

Solid white wedding dress
And a long white veil
We put all our fears to rest
And we let this ship set sail
I placed the ring on your finger
Then you looked at me and smiled
The we sealed our love with one last kiss
And I walked you up the aisle

I′m ready for the next step in love
Girl, you′re all that I can think of
Isn′t my love good enough
I′m ready for the next step in love

I′m ready for the next step in love
Girl, you′re all that I can think of
Isn′t my love good enough
I′m ready for the next step in love

I′m ready for the next step in love

I Can't Sleep

I've been up all night long,
Just waiting on the sun.
I've given up, damn the dawn.
It ain't never gonna come.
Something's wrong,
Long as your gone.

I'm not gonna sleep  till I touch your face.
Baby, not a wink, I could go for days.
If you ever needed to see me down on my knees,
Take a look at me: Baby, I can't sleep.

Remember when you said we wouldn't last;
I couldn't swallow my pride.
Oh, it's sinking in, baby, losing you has,
Finally opened my eyes.
I'm wide awake,
As long as it takes.

I'm not gonna sleep  till I touch your face.
Baby, not a wink, I could go for days.
If you ever needed to see me down on my knees,
Take a look at me: Baby, I can't sleep.

Instrumental Break.

I'm not gonna sleep  till I touch your face.
Baby, not a wink, I could go for days.
If you ever needed to see me down on my knees,
Take a look at me: Baby, I can't sleep.

Till I touch your face.
Baby, not a wink, I could go for days.
I'm not gonna sleep till I touch your face.
Baby, not a wink.
I can't sleep.

Oooh.

Ahhh.

To fade.

A Few Questions

How in this world can we put a man on the moon,
And still have a need for a place like St Jude's?
And why is one man born,
In a place where all they know is war?
An' a guy like me,
Has always been free.

An' how can two people who built a lovin' home,
Try for years an' never have a child of their own?
When somewhere out there tonight,
There's a baby no-one's holdin' tight:
In need of love.
To me, that don't add up.

But I wasn't there the day you filled up the oceans.
I didn't get to see you hang the stars in the sky.
So I don't mean to second guess you,
Or criticise what I don't understand.
These are just a few questions I have.

An' why did my cousin have to die in that crash?
A good kid, only seventeen, I still wonder 'bout that.
It seems unfair to me,
Some get the chance to chase their dreams,
An' some don't.
But what do I know?

I wasn't there the day you filled up the oceans.
I didn't get to see you hang the stars in the sky.
So I don't mean to second guess you,
Or criticise what I don't understand.
These are just a few questions I have.

Instrumental break.

Why do I feel like you hear these prayers of mine.
When so many oughta be ahead of me in line?
When you look down on me,
Can you see the good through all the bad?
These just a few questions I have.

If I Could Make A Living Out Of Loving You

If I could make a livin' out of lovin' you,
I'd be a millionaire in a week or two.
I'd be doin' what I love and lovin' what I do,
If I could make a livin' out of lovin' you.

Early every morning when the sun comes up,
I'm punching that clock on the wall.
Breakin' my back just to make a buck,
Wishing I was in your arms.

If I could make a livin' out of lovin' you,
I'd be a millionaire in a week or two.
I'd be doin' what I love and lovin' what I do,
If I could make a livin' out of lovin' you.

I could work all day and feel right at home,
Lovin' that 8 to 5.
And never have to leave you here alone,
When I'm workin' overtime.

If I could make a livin' out of lovin' you,
I'd be a millionaire in a week or two.
I'd be doin' what I love and lovin' what I do,
If I could make a livin' out of lovin' you.

If You Ever Feel Like Loving Me Again

I remember when it all began,
You couldn't keep your body from my hands
I remember nights we felt so close.
How we got so distant, I don't know.
So as you plan your brand new life
Keep this one thing in mind:

If you ever feel, like lovin' me again,
The door's wide open, baby, walk right in.
I'll be waitin' 'til the end of time,
Heart and mind,
Now, just like back then.
If you ever feel like needin' someone,
Who will love you like I've always done.
Girl, I'll show you some things never end ,
If you ever feel like lovin' me again.

People change and, baby, so do dreams.
They move along to where the grass is green.
So I won't hold you down to what we had;
Last thing I wanna do is make you sad.
But if things don't fly your way,
Girl, it's never too late.

If you ever feel like needin' someone,
Who will love you like I've always done.
Girl, I'll show you some things never end ,
If you ever feel like lovin' me again.

One, Two, I Love You
(Bucky Jone/Ed Hill)

Kindergarten, five years old
You and me and mother goose
Learning lines to nursery rhymes
That's when I feel in love with you

Back when it was
One, two buckle my shoe
Three Four shut the door
Five Six pick up sticks
Even then my heart was yours

College days miles apart
So afraid you'd forgot
Writing letters every day
And ending every one like this

One two I miss you
Three Four I walk the floor
Five Six come back quick
I dont wanna miss you no more

A little girl and little boy
Playing on a swing in the yard
As we watch I hold your hand
And you're still holding onto my heart

And now its
One two I love you
Three four lets have one more
Five six I wouldnt miss
A day of this for all the treasure on the ocean floor

One two I love you
Three four let's shut the door
Five six, kiss after kiss
I cant wait to hold you once more

How To Make A Man Lonesome

(Randy Boudreauz/Kim Williams)

Three weeks in Phoenix one night to go
You're lookin' too good and you're standing to close
That song on the jukebox
Your dance-with-me smile
Has got me thinkin'of someone
I haven't seen in a while

You sure know how to make a man lonesome
I see so much of my woman in you
You sure know how to make a man lonesome
But she knows how to keep her man true

Yes, I know that it's early
Why am I leaving so soon
Well,it's too warm in here
And it's me not the room
And the way that you're starin′
I've seen that look before
You're makin'me want her all that much more

You sure know how to make a man lonesome
I see so much of my woman in you
You sure know how to make a man lonesome
But she knows how to keep her man true

You sure know how to make a man lonesome
But she knows how to keep her man true

Clay Walker Things I Should Have Said
(Shawna Harrington-Burkhart/John Paul Daniel)

I love you so much in so many ways
I need you more and more every day
I want to spend my life with you
My love will never end
These are a few of the things
I should have said
Before you gave up on me
And walked out the door
Before you found someone else
You thought loved you more
He probably told you everything
That´s running through my head
Now it´s much too late to say
The things I should have said
You told me just as plain as it could be
How you needed to hear some words of love from me
I never thought it mattered much
Now it sure looks like it did
Oh, why didn´t I say the things
I should have said
Before you gave up on me
And walked out the door
Before you found someone else
You thought loved you more
He probably told you everything
That´s running through my head
Now it´s much too late to say
The things I should have said
He probably told you everything
That´s running through my head
Now it´s much too late to say
The things I should have said
Now I´ll never get the chance to say
The things I should have said

《All In》Just as the first day(中文歌词)
